The winning glasses design is inspired by the contrast between an open eye and a closed eye, representing the difference between individuals who have the privilege of clear vision and those who experience vision challenges. The spikes on one side symbolize the eyelashes of an open eye, while the strands of pearls on the other represent a closed eye. Through this design, the artist sought to highlight the importance of raising awareness about vision care and ensuring that everyone has access to the eye care they need.
