Vision Before the Bell is See The World Foundation's annual back-to-school campaign dedicated to helping children receive the vision care they need before the school year begins.
For many families, the cost of an eye exam, glasses, or other essential treatment can create a barrier to learning. Through this campaign, we're working to ensure more children can enter the classroom ready to see the board, read their books, and reach their full potential.

We recognized that many of the children See The World Foundation serves through vision care are the very same children who often face barriers to educational opportunity, mentorship, school supplies, and guidance as they grow. Likewise, many of the youth supported by Jullian’s Gateway also experience challenges accessing the healthcare resources they need to succeed.
Rather than addressing these barriers separately, we decided to bring our missions together through one shared initiative.

How does the Seeing the Bright Side initiative work?

Seeing the Bright Side is a joint initiative between See The World Foundation and Jullian's Gateway. Donations made through the initiative are administered by See The World Foundation and distributed according to the initiative's partnership agreement. Sixty percent supports See The World Foundation's children's vision care programs, while forty percent supports Jullian's Gateway's educational programs and youth initiatives.
Your donation supports two complementary missions. Through See The World Foundation, children receive financial assistance for vision care, including eye exams, prescription glasses, treatments, surgeries, transportation to appointments when needed, and other essential vision-related care. Through Jullian's Gateway, youth receive educational resources, mentorship, school supplies, college guidance, and community opportunities that help them build brighter futures.

Where does my donation go?
Yes. Our live Donation Dashboard updates automatically as donations are received. You can view the total amount raised, how funds are allocated between both organizations, and recent donation activity without displaying any donor information. Throughout the year, we also publish impact updates highlighting the difference your generosity is making. Donors to the Seeing the Bright Side initiative will also receive our annual impact report by email, showcasing how their support helped both See The World Foundation and Jullian's Gateway create brighter futures.

Can I see how donations are used?
Donations to the Seeing the Bright Side initiative are securely processed and administered by See The World Foundation. All online transactions are encrypted using industry-standard security measures. Once received, funds are distributed according to the initiative's partnership agreement.
